The hard-of hearing, who are starting out or are in the middle of their career or who feel threatened by unemployment because of their handicap, often have few possibilities to receive specialised advice and support. They not only find themselves in a difficult situation on the labour market, but are also in many cases excluded from the possibility of taking part in further training and education.

Furthermore an increasing number of people suffers from hearing difficulties in Austria. On average 19% of the population over the age of 14 are affected. In order to create support and help, the first Austrian Association for the Hard-of-Hearing „From Ear to Ear“ was founded. The aim is to offer those affected help to help themselves.

The revenues from the sponsoring are used exclusively for the hard-of-hearing and their needs. Here are some examples of investments and measures which the audiotec business field makes possible with its financial support:

- Grants for room rentals for audiometry and advice
- Events held by self-help groups
- Creation of information brochures
- Fees for therapy
- Campaigns on the topic of Further Education
