From 13th to 16th May Eurofoam and Lenzing AG presented their innovative co-operation cellpur at the Interzum on Cologne. The Interzum is the world's leading trade fair for suppliers to the furniture industry and interior design.

 

The interest in the new comfort-foam cellpur was great! Foam is functionally combined with Tencel®-powder for the first time, thus creating a perfect sleeping environment. The development department of Eurofoam and Lenzing AG have succeeded in creating an absolute innovation on the world market. Lenzing has developed the first cellulose fibre, Tencel®, worldwide, whose functionality is based upon an innovative microstructure. A particular innovation is the spherical Tencel®-powder, which is used for the new comfort-foam.

Thanks to this, it has for the first time been possible to functionally integrate cellulose in foam which improves the moisture absorption potential of the foam. This has been confirmed by a current study carried out by Prof. Dr. Dr. Hans W. Jürgens, Head of the Research Group of Industrial Anthropology at the University of Kiel.
