Hazardous Incident Information
Our safety precautions:
  • Maximum fire protection (smoke detectors, smoke alarms, water jet sprinklers and foam extinguishing systems)
  • Liquid-tight, basin-shaped storage areas for hazardous goods (TDI)
  • Monitoring system for filling, storing and emptying storage tanks
  • Emergency evacuation procedure
  • Periodic inspection and maintenance of safety equipment
  • Only qualified personnel may use and inspect the relevant equipment
  • Lightning protection and inspection of electrical installations in compliance with VDE / ÖVE
  • Only safe software, technology and electronics are used
  • Risk analysis and safety analysis

By means of these and other safety precautions, we at Eurofoam GmbH have achieved such a high safety standard that the risk of an emergency can, as far as humanly possible, be almost entirely excluded. In the unlikely event that an emergency should occur due to human error or an unpredictable, natural phenomenon, these measures ensure that the consequences remain under control.

Still, by way of precaution, we would like to inform you how to proceed in the event of a hazardous incident:

  • Shelter: Do not remain outside but go into a room inside a building.
  • Neighborly help: Call children inside, notify your immediate neighbors and, in an emergency, offer passers by shelter.
  • Windows: Close all windows and doors.
  • Air conditioning: Switch off the air conditioning.
  • Information: Switch your radio and / or TV on and follow the emergency units’ instructions and listen for all-clear announcements.
  • Emergency Unit instructions: You must obey any instructions issued by the emergency units (e.g. the fire brigade).

Information for the population on the correct procedure in the event of hazardous incidents in accordance with the Environmental Information Act is distributed to the potentially affected neighboring populace every 5 years. This folder is valid for the Linz and Kremsmünster locations.
