Foam producers beset by high prices for raw materials
The European foam market is being confronted with systematic price increases for the increasingly scarce raw materials required to produce polyurethane flexible foams. The prices for both Polyol and TDI have already drastically increased . At the same time the demand for foamed products continues to be strong and is, in fact, growing!
Raw materials suppliers have already begun rationing. Thanks to proactive planning and the good relationships it has built up with its suppliers over the years, Eurofoam has succeeded in securing the supply for its customers. In addition to this shortage, the foam producers are also battling rising energy prices. Manfred Marchgraber, Managing Director, says: "Prices are expected to go up as early as this autumn.” End consumers may also be affected by the price increase for foam.
